Saving Alfira as Durge
I am planning to do my first Durge playthrough and would like to keep Alfira alive. My problem is that I do not know what triggers Alfira to talk to you about staying in camp. Some discussions (like Reddit or Youtube comments when looking up a guide on knocking her out) say that she will ask to stay in camp with you the first time you talk to her. Others say it only happens after you have met Kagha, and some even say that you have to have done Kagha's quest where you have either killed her or convinced her to side against the shadow druids before the option comes up with Alfira.

So, please help me out. What event(s) makes her ask to stay in your camp? I realize I could save and test different things out but I'd really like to just get it over with. Thank you. :)

I have done an excessive amount of testing on the subject, and the trigger for the Alfira/Quill camp scene is halfway across the bridge in front of Blighted Village.

There are no other conditions; that is the condition. Before crossing that trigger, she will never show up at your camp; you have unlimited Long Rests. You do not have to meet her, or even enter the grove; she will show up regardless after hitting that trigger, complete with several dialogue lines based on how well she/the grove knows you.

Her arrival can be delayed by a few higher priority camp events, such as meeting the Dream Visitor after getting saved by the Artifact near the Goblin Camp, or Wyll ambushing Karlach if you recruit her first. The scene will finally be forced to trigger if you leave for Rosymorn or The Shadowlands (via Grymforge), regardless of how backlogged your camp scene queue is.

As such, you'll want to knock out Alfira on the same day you cross that bridge (the order of those two events does not matter), then Long Rest before you can accidentally fill your camp scene queue with a higher priority scene (not that you'll likely do that on accident anyway).

I read someplace, that if you knock out Afira, where she is singing just outside of the Druid's Grove, she will not show up at the camp, but instead will be replaced with a Dragonborn char. Not sure if this is true, but I do plan on testing it soon.

Maybe just try avoiding her maybe that might change things. Since I think shortly after you interact with her and make camp she shows up.

Na. I have had runs as Dark Urge and never interacted with her at Druid's Grove and she still shows up. I wish it was that simple.

Nah I encountered her on my Durge playthrough and had never talked to her. I'd meant to after clearing the Harpies because I trained Astarion as a bard just for that but I forgot.
