Bernard Not Giving Guiding Light Ring

This has been a bug since patch 4, it's patch 7 now ... fix the bug for ♥♥♥♥ sake ...

What bug? I have done that encounter countless times and never had an issue? Are you using mods? I don't use mods so maybe that is why it works for me.

No mods and worked fine on first run through as a Paladin. Went back to earlier save and respeced to gloomstalker and now it's non-compliant. Annoying I'll have to wait 1500 xp to come back and kill the bastard for the ring, but whatever. Point still stands, fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug.

You have to report it to Larian yourself because I doubt anyone else have this problem.

He gave it to me literally the night before on a different save as a Paladin oaths of the ancient ... I went from a 40 + hour save that GOT the ring ... to an earlier save and swapped from Paladin to Gloom Stalker ranger, and now suddenly I don't get ring. Not a huge deal, but certainly dont like wasting time on bugs.

Dude. We ALL play the game. I have never, never had a problem with Bernard not handing over that ring, as long as you use the correct password for it.

You seem to think this is a problem we all have, but I assure you that it is not.

I can say I have never played as a gloomstalker. Is this a problem you only have as a gloomstalker?

You should try using logic first. There is no bug. And if you think there is, then stop complaining and instead report it properly with sending Larian Studios your savegames in that regards. You can use their email [e-mail] for reporting

You can say there's a bug by imagining or dreaming there's is a bug. That's how.

If you didn't dream it up, maybe tell us which dialogue lines you picked, and what Bernard did in response to that. I can say for certain that if I don't select a poem line then he attacks, but I'm not dreaming that it's a bug. I know there are other dialogue options.

Lemme load it up ... and having done a google search for a fix ... I found it was a bug since patch 4, from others reporting the same issue. If you need the lines sure ...

Bernard has a moment a calls me master ... then I say ... after Gale makes a witty comment about plays and constructs ... 2. The silence stretches on, I'm all alone./ Please can I hold your hands for just a while ... then Bernard asks if I want a hug, to which I can take or reject, if rejected, he holds my hands instead ...

That's how I got the ring on my playthrough as a Paladin. From the SAME GAME even ... same character ... I went from 6th level save to a 3rd level save, respecced my paladin to ranger and went from there ... literally the same freaking save I used to continue my game from my Paladin that got it in the Tower at 5th level ...

And we can assume it's a bug since patch 4 because the devs CHANGED how Bernard gives you the ring ... at patch 4, rather than placing it on the table, the quest reward is supposed to pop up in the reward window ... that reward window doesn't pop up... currently on my ranger ... did for the same play through on a different save though ...

That's the wrong Bernard line, though.

He gives the ring from the line "How can I trust? How will I ever know? / How can I show myself, my darkest me?"

It's called google searching and finding many other posts of people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the same problem ... Bernard not giving the ring ... Logic is a systematic process ... obviously one you lack.
