Save Isobel solo?
Trying a solo run for baldurs gate 3, want to see how far I can get. Is there any way to save Isobel at the last light inn or must I just avoid that area entirely?

Honor Mode or not? If it's not just try and and roll back a previous save if you can't do it after a couple tries.

If it's Honor Mode I'd avoid entirely, even with a full party I don't do it because a bad initiative order and lucky rolls means she can go down before you get a single turn.

Standard difficulty? I forgot the name of it already. I might try some other things but if I can't save isobel I might just avoid the event.

It can very challenging doing it solo, because she gets surrounded pretty quickly. Even on Balance Difficulty. And if you do manage to get her past that initial onslaught alive, she is a dumb-ass and runs off attacking enemies she has no need to.

Any tips on what I can do? Like is there any healing spells or scrolls I can find/buy? Playing as a simple fighter rn

You will likely have to save scum to get a favorable outcome, which could be painful with a fight that large.

As a pure fighter, the best I can think of is to bank a couple of scrolls of Protection from Good and Evil. If your build doesn't include the Alert feat, I would definitely take an elixir of vigilance before starting the fight. If you can cast protection from good and evil on her before she or any of the Winged Horrors take a turn, that would significantly help her survivability.

If that isn't enough, you may have to respec into a one level cleric dip for access to Sanctuary as well.

Not sure what else to do. Create choke points with crates maybe.

Yeah give it a couple tries since you can reload without any issues. You can also try to metagame it and block the doors you know the Winged Horrors will come from (Arcane Lock if you're a mage, or stack barrels/boxes) to buy you some time. Try to disable Marcus with whatever means you have so he doesn't slam the hell out of her.

If you take random items to your camp chest you can pop in and out of camp dropping them in ways that block the enemies if you know where they spawn. You can also use the preexisting items in Isobel's room. If you have a bajillion random grease bottles laying around you can turn the entire inn into a slip n slide party if you so choose, not that its the most effective strategy. You can also cast a spell that makes Isobel unable to take a turn if she's safe aside from constantly running into danger such hold person if you can get past her saving throw, obviously only after you've cleared her room. There's some really great level 1 spell slot spells like hideous laughter for controlling humanoids too, not actually 100% that Marcus counts as human for the purposes of what spells work on him, but i digress. I think the most reliable method is just blocking the doors and windows, but it's fairly precise on how they have to be placed to prevent enemies just climbing over whatever objects you place. You also need the str stat to move the objects into place to begin with.

Best thing to do is to block access to the room.

Arcane Lock, items in the way, whatever else you can think of. You don't need much luck for the NPCs to take care of the Winged Horrors without anyone dying. Even less luck needed for everyone important to survive.

Then all you have to worry about is Marcus, and that's doable so long as he doesn't crit unreasonably often.
As Kernest says, blocking the winged beasties from getting into the room is a good way to manage it. If you don't have Arcane Lock then you can try using "Move" on the candlesticks and clothing/room partitions so that they block all the doorways before the fight begins.

It's what I did on my very first playthrough (and have done on at least one of my Honour playthroughs since too lol).

Marcus is a pansy. The real danger here is paralysis followed by crit fest (esp by marcus, he is dangerous to isobel if he gets 2 rounds of free crits on her). Protection from paralysis (free action scroll or something?), sanctuary, greater invisibility, and other such spells can go a long way to keep her out of trouble. She will heal herself a little, but she is a complete idiot, not even a halfwit, but 100%. I dunno if like dimension door can force her to come with you to a safer place? But this is a good place to use some consumables, rummage through what you have and plan a strategy around it. Even low level stuff can do it... a void bulb and a cloud of daggers can eliminate over half the winged guys in 2 rounds with a bit of luck.

avoidance is good too. Nothing marcus drops is interesting, and you don't need the spell.
