Idol of Selune?
Hey there, fellow Baldurians. I have to ask about this. Playing multiplayer with my girl, she has Shadowheart in her party, romancing her and it's post Nightsong already. She gave Shadow the Idol of Shar (while still worshipping the Lady of Loss), resulting in increase of approval. But I've found the Idol of Selune for her in the Adamantine forge, I think. And Shadow turned her back to Shar, so should feel free to accept selunite stuff now. Thing is, my GF can't give it to Shadow through dialogue, like she did with Idol of Shar. And the wiki doesn't even acknowledge its existence, only the Idol of Shar. Is it a bug, or did they just recently add the opposite to the aforementioned Idol of Shar without the proper action for it? Or what's going on? One would assume, that upon worshipping the Moonmaiden an idol of hers would be appropriate, no? So far it's just a junk item in our inventory, it seems.

Characters who worship Selune gain a +1 bonus to wisdom and intelligence when carrying the idol.

So she should put it directly into Shadow's inventory then? No dialogue whatsoever? Shame. An interaction would be nice. But thank you for clarifying things.

the wiki says that the idols of selune have no use other than to be sold. in my 5 playthroughs I've also never found use for them (there ar 3 in total in the game)

Ha! found its wiki entry finally. So 60 gold is considered modest sum, hmmm. But other than selling it, it really sucks, that it has no other value, like sentimental, or emotional, or just any. Being a new object for Shadowheart to reach to the Moonmaiden through. Anything.
While she still worshipped Lady Shar few days ago, she was fairly delighted with the gift of her idol. Now with "returning" to her original goddess, you don't have the option to value her idol in any way, other than "a modest sum"? That doesn't add.
I get, that this is fairly new for her, since she doesn't remember being a selunite, but still, she has a new lady to worship, a new deity to look upon for guidance and stuff. A little bit of "respect" shown by having an idol of the goddess would be nice. If it works for Idol of Shar, why wouldn't it work for Idol of Selune?

So far only physical damage if it hits. XD But I like the idea, very creative.

It would indeed be nice if you could give Shadowheart an idol of Selune in Act3, like you can give her an idol of Shar in Act 2. But you can't. (If you want to roleplay it, though, you can just stick it into her inventory.)

The most interaction you get is when Sharran Shadowheart scoffs at you for picking up an idol of Selune.

"An idol of Selune? Really? Are we in need of a paperweight?"
