Weapon's passive without using it
So.. I'm playing as a rogue archer. I'm wondering if my equipped daggers' passives still work even if I'm not using melee weapons?

E.g., Sword of Life Stealing's 10 extra crit dmg
or Knife of the Undermountain King's passive

I don't think so
Think about how busted that would be.

You can check the wiki as sometimes the effect of the weapon can apply to all weapon attacks and possibly cantrips / spells.

Knife of Undermountain King is a general crit range buff on all attacks, even if not using it.

According to BG3wiki, the bonus damage on the Sword of Life Stealing is only when striking with the weapon itself.

It uses the tag data "PassivesOnEquip" to assign the passive but the passive calls out the detection of the weapon like the following line.
data "Conditions" "AttackedWithPassiveSourceWeapon() and IsCritical() and not Tagged('CONSTRUCT', context.Target) and not Tagged('UNDEAD', context.Target)"
