whats the best way/ area to do the bard gold achevement

Anywhere with lots of people like in the Elfsong tavern or the refugee camp. It took me a while to get though as I only got 6-7 gold at a time.

Each NPC that can give you gold, can only give it once, and you need AFAIR to succeed the performance check.
So do it in large crowds while completing the game.

I got it in act 3, at the circus.

Another place to do it is on the bridge from Rivington to the lower City.

They can give it more than once. At least they did when I was experimenting with this in Emerald Grove.
All I had to do to make NPCs drop again was leaving the area, then return.
Non currently recruited companions at camp also threw coins more than once.

Larger groups and a Bard are probably best.

It's possible to earn 100 in Emerald Grove and with no bard, but takes way longer (casting Thaumaturgy and Guidance every so often alone took time).
