Can you skip the Last Light Inn?

It keeps crashing, it seems like a common problem. Can you complete Act 2 w/o it? I was having fun before this started :(

Yes, I believe you can. You don't have any mandatory interactions there if you already know where to go.

Most of the bugs I found in the game, I found in and around the Last Light Inn. It is pretty important though, unfortunately. If you side with the Absolute you will have to deal with the location a bit less than if you side with the Harpers, but at some point you will need to go there.

At which points does your game freeze or crash, btw?

You don't, I think ? You can directly go to the Temple of Shar , kill Balthazar , enter the Shadowfell , which starts the assault on The tower , and then it's just the endsequence of act 2.
It makes the last fights harder, but you don't need Last Light Inn.

The crash was after the fight with Marcus and Isobel, talking to Jaheira so instead of going upstairs, I went back out the way I came, ran into a guy who said he'd help me ambush a caravan. Then I sold out the harpers and murdered them, and now I'm in the tower. So success?
