Need some clarification on the Mirror of Loss...

Is it possible to get both the Patriar's Memory bonus (+1 Charisma) and the 2+ for a chosen attribute, or are they mutually exclusive? The character planner let's you select them both, but I'm just checking to make sure that's not an oversight.

yes, it is possible to get both

but you need to get the +1 CHA first, if you got the +2 then the option for the CHA is gone

For whatever reason, this playthrough I got +2 for two characters (main character got +2 CHA and then after Gale got +2 INT)

I don't know if it was a bug or what but I'm not complaining :D

Not sure I understand you correctly (or you me ;) - it is: +1 CHA *AND* +2 in a stat of your choosing for each character that uses the mirror, that was in question (*every* companion can get those points, they just need to use the mirror and pass the checks).

Yes, every character, they "just" have to pass the check(s). One by one ^^

You can get the +2 bonus stats awarded on all characters that pass the religion check.

Here is how to get the +1 Cha and +2 bonus stat from the Mirror of Loss

To get the + 1 Cha you first must pass the Arcane (DC: 25) or the Religion (DC: 25) check and then select a memory to sacrifice inorder to receive another memory.

Note: You can completely skip this check if you have read the "Hastily Written Note" found in the Night Orchid Cave.

It's best to save at this point as the outcome/reward HAS to be the following memory, "Disappointment floods your mind. Your were supposed to succeed Stelmane, But lord Enver Gortash has stolen your support. All that charming and cajoling in the parlours of the Upper City, wasted". This is the only memory outcome that rewards the +1 Cha stat. Only 1 character may receive this Cha point. Make sure you have at least a memory left to sacrifice as you can only select each memory option to sacrifice once. If you have none left you cannot get the +2 bonus stat from another memory sacrifice.

To receive the +2 bonus stat your must first pass the 2nd Religion "Prayer" (DC: 25) check. Once passed, select a memory to be sacrificed. If you receive the narrator's notification "You feel the presence of something, ancient and unknowable. It has taken notice of you. Where once the mirror showed nothing, there is now something. Memories, experiences, skills, All prised from the minds of others, and now offered to you, to choose from." then you successfully passed the hidden check and may now choose the corresponding memory that represents the bonus stat you want. As mentioned before each party member may receive the +2 bonus stat.

ALWAYS do it in this order or you will not be able to claim the +1 Cha point if you did the +2 bonus stat first.

Story spoiler: Shadowheart does not receive the +2 bonus stat if you converted her to Selune. She can still pray and pass the Religion check but the mirror will not reward her with bonus stats. If she is a Dark Justiciar and kills her parents to complete the ritual she will be able to select the +2 bonus stats without needing to pass any checks
