Immersion
It is hard for me to get immersed in story in games anymore. Played to many I guess. I don't feel for the characters or care about them or emathize any more. How do I get that involvment back.

Thanks everyone for the discussion. I still enjoy the game.

It mostly is getting about getting old, or more specifically about changing preferences when you get older. That is normal. Half the games I used to play I don't like anymore.

And sometimes you just need to take a break. Read books for a couple of weeks, go on walks. Do others stuff. There is more in life than just gaming.

True in part. It's mostly about people losing interest in one game, playing other games or losing interest in video gaming altogether as more important things need to be done.

I did not start playing video games with much interest until I retired and had raised all of our 3 children. You know , more important things needed my attention first. But now, after being retired for more than 25 years, I am still playing selective video games a lot. Esp. in the Winter.

At 79, I am still enjoying video games. Esp ones like this game and Fallout 4, Skyrim, etc.

the stories and characters are changing. modern social pressure has destroyed any chance that the characters will be relatable or even tolerable.

i'm not immersed in this story at all because i cant stand the party members. give me a party i can like and i promise to like them. shoving this party down my throat just makes this a strategy game.

Play a better game! BG3 doesn't have good writing, immersive characters, or good world-building. So it's totally expected that you feel that way!

My advice: try to find games without wokeness and modern political activism. That's the ones that you will have the most fun with.

Oh wow, such a fast reply from a blocked user. No idea what they/them said, and don't care. But the speed of reaction from a certain minority activists on this forum is truly impressive!

well i paid for it so i will play it. its a D&D game so i'm inclined to support it. maybe some non-woke type devs with a few skilled writers will make one we can actually like. fingers crossed. at least the awokened devs demonstrated that you can make spells work in games.

Can you elaborate on what you mean?

Not from Larian obviously.
The company is making inclusive games since, at least, 2014.

Please don't, not every thread has to devolve into this horsesh^t. Let's all ignore the trolls moving forward, this topic has been "discussed" ad nauseam.

While I totes get all your saying.
Please remember that Acronyms need an explanation first (the acronyms meaning spelled out), and the acronym later, so people can follow what you are speaking about.
