Why no breasts/b00bs physics?
But you added p3n1s and balls physics...
Why the discrepancy?
Also don't come with: "go watch p0rn". It's not what is being asked/discussed here. It's about sexy appeal for female characters. There is also the fact that is way more "p0rn" inducing to add the p3n0r physics than breasts physics, since you can have the latter covered but still see them when moving the character.

And the answer is probably a mix of marketing and "haha floppy penis funny". It worked for Cyberpunk.

Breast physics on the other hand would be (potentially) seen as oversexualization of women or something and cause negative press. Just look at how media outlets react to similar things in asian games for example.

So one is good for marketing and doesn't have a chance of negative press, the other is the reverse. I can see why they went for the safer option. But then again, it might just be a random decision or lack of time or anything else, it's not like the game is holding back in terms of sexualising women.

And this is Baldur's Gate, not Cyberpunk. Larian shouldn't need to have added any type of nudity in the first place.

The game series went from Bhaalspawn, to romance simulator thanks to Larian.

I am pretty sure that if there is ever a Baldur's Gate 4 game that stands true to its predecessors, the players who praise BG3 will bash it heavily.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a romance simulator? When?
You sure you didn't moid it to be one?

LMAO

Agree, OP. If we're going to get guy's wiggly bits to wiggle, then I would really like jiggly boobs for the fem-presenting characters when they're naked too. Not necessarily full-on anime bounce but a little movement would be nice. And I say this as an owner of said chesticles.

And just because we can appreciate a boob or two now and then doesn't mean we're porn addicts. LOL

BG2 was the game that either introduced or popularised romances in RPGs, so BG3 is very true to it's predecessor in that regard. And BG2 would have had even more romance if the devs had enough time\funds to implement it. You'd know that if you actually cared about the previous BG games.

And nudity is just nudity. It's very weird when games aren't afraid of showing gruesome murder but are censoring naked human bodies. I blame american puritanism for this hypocrisy.

A simpler explanation for that there are wiggly male bits and hunky characters could be otherwise be that it might reflect the taste of lead character designer Alena Dubrovina. Just a thought ;)

The romances are completely optional, so it's a weird thing to complain about.

Basically: Men cannot be sexualized, do it with women though and you're the greatest misogynist the world has ever seen.

Weak attempt at both objectifying woman and clown farming.

Try harder.

The honest answer is that CEO Swen likes to troll his players. Many examples of it.

Who knows, they added alot stuff last minute. All the way through EA you could never strip your characters nude. They added that on the final release among other things that are political designed. They pulled kind of a fast one on us. Plus you usually use 4th person perspective so details like jiggles physics seem less relevant. That kind of detail is more for third person.

You say this but nudity among other things were in the cards since before Early Access began.

There is no need for this, but so is equality. jk

I'm guessing breast physics is harder to make work since you see (the outline of) breasts more often than penises and their movement is more difficult to portrait accurately. Besides people who take the pants of their characters to see their genitalia flop around apparently want to see floppy shlongs while people who keep those clothes on don't always want bouncy boobs. Or they just have really sturdy, invisible bras.
Quillithe Jul 27, 2024 @ 10:02am
Honestly my reasoning is also that bouncy penis you need to intentionally want to engage with basically. Bouncy boobs would be all over and would mostly look odd

I guess maybe if they only bounced when naked? That seems like a fair compromise.

Penis physics: Funny
Boob physics: Perverted.
This is where we are in society.
