No. 4 GB is not even enough to usefully run your Operating System, assuming you are using Windows. Windows runs on 4GB's at a minimum. Any more less than that and your taxing your systems resources more than you'd like. Baseline OS then trying to run BG3? No you need way more RAM. I would recommend 32GB or DDR5 RAM to run it, and anything else, smoothly.

He was talking about VRAM.

Regardless of that fact, OP is seriously under the ability to run this game efficiently.

Better post spec than asking whether it's going to run or not, maybe we can check it if it's possible

32gb is overkill of BG3, grate if you are building a new system but overkill for this game, i am running 16 gigs of older ddr4 2666 and it works just fine on high settings,

my guess is it'll run but you'll have brutal load times and may have serious frame drops in lava area and city where there are environmental effects around .

You could try turning everything down esp shadows and spell effects and dynamic lighting

but as someone stated above post your full specs otherwise we're all guessing

4GB of VRAM on a dedicated GPU is the minimum. Low settings but hey this game can run on a steam deck at 30 FPS.

I'd argue even 64 gigs wouldn't be enough given the absurd memory leaks in some cases.

Run it? Probably.
Will it look nice? No.
Buy it and if it doesn't meet your expectations ask Valve for a refund. Just be sure the playtime is under 2 hours.

I run mine on max settings with 16GB without issues. Not sure what crappy rigs you guys are using?

Weird flex but ok. How about you go through the contents of the thread first.

yes it is, i used to play it on 4gbvram and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 4core processor on low/no shadows. just keep in mind that you should have an ssd for the game and maybe 8/16 gb of ram memory

One advantage of turn-based combat is that low FPS may annoy you, but it can't kill you.
