Does the Guiding Bolt effect only active from using this longbow for attack or can it active from spells too?

This text does not exactly specify to use the bow: "Promised Victory: On a hit, possibly inflict the Guiding Bolt upon the target."

It's hits from attacks made with the bow. Also from arrow attacks made with it I believe.

Not from spells or melee attacks made while having it equipped. Unless you mean ranged physical damage skills.

Yea. I men't spells. Like for example Ice Knife has a physical component on it.
