Report a translation problem
This is just based off what I've heard though as I'v only done a good Tav run, then been trying to do Honor Mode since.
I can't say why because there would be way too many spoilers, but I geniuenly believe this.
Based off the previous games, I'd go as far as to say it's the canon.
or at least as close as you can get to BG3 since it throws out most of BG2/TOB for 'Somehow Bhall returned'
Bhaal's return was canonical since "Murder in Baldur's Gate" (5th edition adventure) released in 2013, it wasn't decided by BG3.
Until you realize you miss out on a lot of stuff from being evil.
I'm talking about gear from vendors/quests that you miss out on by being evil. It's the main problem with most RPGs. Being good sees you showered with exp and loot. Being evil sees you starved for it.
We'll just have to agree to disagree then....
