Question about triggering Shadowheart romance sequence

I am quite far along in Act 3, and have a solid relationship with Shadowheart. A number of days of play ago, I finished Shadowheart's companion quest. But I am still waiting for the next stage of the romance to be triggered. When I speak with her, it is the same as before I did her companion quest. Her conversations are such that she is definitely in a relationship with my character. I am curious if I just need to be patient, or if I perhaps did something to cause the advancement of the relationship to not happen. I did have the one time fling with Mizora but Shadowheart seemed to accept that nicely.

I got Shadowheart as "lover" since middle of Act 2. I don't thing you can go further with this relationship (whatever if you attitude toward her is 100) depending on the outcome of the Shrine of Shar and if you saved/killed the Nightsong. I think the final straw for this relationship happens early in Act 3 with the cutscene when both of you are naked.

You have to finish the Shar temple questline in Act 3 for the romance continue afaik.

Yes, but this is what is not happening in my case. Looking on the internet, I read that after completing the companion quest, and after a little bit after, Shadowheart will show an exclamation point requesting to chat, and this will then initiate (during long sleep I suppose) this very scene which I am not experiencing. I am curious why not. Did I do something wrong?

I finished it days ago. But nothing more is happening. I am waiting for this "both of you are naked" scene to happen, but it is not happening.

Take more Act 3 long rests. The romance cutscenes don't happen immediately.

do you have "!" marks on your characters in every long rest you do? I heard if you dont do enough long rests, the events keep getting pushed in a "waiting line" and it can bug some things entirely

i had my "special night" with shadowheart after visiting the dryad in the circus and long resting. Maybe try that if you didnt already do that :)

Yes, but this is what is not happening in my case. unfortunately this can become bugged. it is usually the camp scene where Vlakith comes to camp to offer Lea'zel acension in return for her loyalty. this is the same night Shart is supposed to have her romance scene.

if she refferes to you as "lover" as stated above unfortunately you will not get the scene unless you reload several rests before and trigger the Vlakith scene earlier

This is a known bug

if this is not happening then somewhere along the way, you might not have known, but you declined her offer or had a romance with another companion after initiating romance with shart. Her romance is looong and it starts in act 1. if you choose to be with another companion in the meantime this can end any chance at romance with her (i am not entirely sure when). I know i did this with Minthara

Or you still dont have enough approval to trigger the scene. I know in my first play through it wasnt until mid act 3 that i got the waterfall romance scene

Right both happened roughly at the same time for me but I don't remember if Vlakith cutscene came on the same night as final Shadowheart romance cutscene or on the following night. The bug might be fixed or I was just lucky that I played the game as intented the avoid the issue.

One thing I don't know is if it is possible to romance Shadowheart if she put is faith in Shar. This would make sense that is not possible to romance her because she will have to choose between Shar or you.

I don't remember the Vlakith scene at camp, actually. Currently, Lea'zel is no longer with me, she has been abducted (she is the one that Orin took from my party) and I guess I have a quest to try to get her back, but haven't figured out how that fits into all the other quests so I have not been pursuing it. At any rate, I assume the Vlakith scene happened long ago. I am not getting many explanation marks at the camp. I guess I can assume I hit a bug here and won't get the romance scenes with Shadowheart in this playthrough. Maybe next time. I have been faithful to Shadowheart all the way, except for an Act 1 one night with Gale, but that was before Shadowheart and my character became into a real romance, and also the one night stand with Mizora. But I let that one happen because Shadowheart came to me immediately after and seemed to be ok with it.

if Shart came to you after you did the deed with Mizora you ARE in a romance with her and the scene didn't trigger.

if you know how to use console and are determined you can 100% get the scene. oddly enough im having similar problems with her as I believe i should have gotten the "night orchid " dialogue by now and thats in act 2 after the trials of shar and speaking with nightsong.

I'll wait one more long rest and then ill manually trigger it with console

as I said. This is a known bug been going on since release, still not fixed.Sometimes no options for romance appear (as is happening with me) or the scene seems to clash with another camp scene (usually V'lakith but not 100%) and you never get it

I would love to trigger the scene manually. Can you tell me a little more about doing this with the console? I am in a romance with Shadowheart, each time I go into a dialogue with her and select the personal chat options, she is indicating that we are a pair of lovers. But the scene did not trigger. And I do not recall anything about a night orchid. Perhaps I totally missed this.

If you missed that, at some point in Act 1 she tell you night orchid is her favourite flower. Not sure of that, but the first one you can find is in Act 2 in the Cursed Shadow Land. I gave her the flower over there thru a dialog that appear only if have one in your inventory. I'm quite not sure if giving her or not the orchid have consequence later in the romance. Maybe.

Yeah, this is my first playthru and I had no idea the game was so huge. I sort of rushed things in certain areas, and probably did not do the right response somewhere. Shadowheart is definitely in a romance with me, it is just a shame that it is so easy, apparently, to do something wrong which causes these intimate scenes not to be triggered. I really don't want to mod the game, install the script extender, etc. I will just be more careful when I do play the game again. Right now I am nearing the end (I think ... Gortash is defeated, next I suppose is Orin, but now I am not sure about a number of perhaps major side quests which should be done or not).

We are pretty much at the same point but I will kick Orin butt first. I'm not so sure we are so close to the end. I still have 3 dozens of unfinished quests in my quest log (over 66 already completed).
