can you save minthara without having her join?

this is my first run having saved her in act 1 (first run was before you could, all my other runs were group runs). and I don't want her to join me this run, I don't want her to die either. I would normally just test this and burn 15-30 mins seeing what the dialogue options are, but I'm on honor mode. Which may not be the best way to try new things but it is what it is. so really my question is in act 2, when you remove the questioners or w/e can you save Minthara without bringing her to your group. Some of the people who would leave are apart of my team.

I didn't have anyone leave my group when I saved Minthara. As long as you aren't doing an evil playthrough you should be fine. Also, you could just treat her like I do Halsin and Minsc and just leave them sitting in camp for the entire game.

Yes you can save her from the tortures in the moonrise dungeon, then get her out the side door, past the docks and then across the gap to safety. You can then tell her you will go your separate ways. You don’t have to have her come to your camp.

All of that said, Minthara is great to have on your side in a battle. Give her the right equipment and feats, and she's a tide-turner.
