ETA: I am still going to charge you shipping, though.
It is solely a collector's item; there is no practical value to it.
And some games like Forspoken are both cheaper and perform better on ps5, while also having physical copies. Making pc gaming or steamdeck gaming pretty much obsolete just in terms of saving money.
I am pretty sure the steam version does not have steam's drm, why does the physical copy require steam to run, or steam activation?
So the issue is mostly that Japan stores did not purchase any physical quantities.
Still sucks for you if you really want a physical copy, but it's not really something Larian or any single person can quickly fix.
I don't think there are many sellers that offer a disc version outside of their own store. Even Amazon is surprisingly lackluster on that front, aside form that one japanese version I'm seeing on my end.
I'd say check other vendors, if you can find any but from the looks of it, there are not many options.
There's also https://www.play-asia.com/baldurs-gate-3-multi-language/13/70g8ot priced at 68,31€, without added shipping, which is 21,60 on my end.
