Disc price of 100 euro is a bit too much Larian. Is there a way to get physical copy for a decent price?
Hi! Game is great, no doubt (except rather dull and ancient combat system), and I have been trying to buy it for some time now. My problem is that steam deck does not handle it well and as for my ps5 - I just never buy digital copies, unless they go 90% sale, which won’t happen with BG3 in next 8-9 years. I aim after physical only, since I can and I do resell them later to make ends meet.
So the problem is that physical copies are rare, only Japan version exists for ps5 (Larian?) and it does not have my language.
However, the game version with my language, called BG3 Deluxe edition goes for 80 euro which is pricey but okay. I would still pay. However, Larian decided to push their luck even further and charge 20 euro for delivery.
Meaning game cost after everything is at least 100 euro.
I mean I payed 5 euro for Skyrim and it has more content to be honest? I am not even mentioning Witcher 3 (12 Euro) or Dark Souls 3 (20 Euro). Of course I bought these games on sale, but realistically speaking a 80% sale for BG3 isn’t happening in next 8-9 years.

I mean it: game is great (once again, I hate this combat but I want it solely for story and erotics) but 100 euro? Do you folks at Larian have any pity? I mean I know Larian are Belgians where they pay 13 euro per hour, but some of us live in eastern Europe and have indian (no offence to India) salaries (0,40 cents per hour), hello?

Even the Steam version is pricey even when on sale (but tolerable) but 100 euro?
Could you just make at least the delivery free? At least for eastern Europe? I mean 80 euro is easier to explain to a raging husband than 100 euro. I have been waiting to play this game for quite some time. It is just frustrating that I have to wait 8 more years while others beat it already.

Or am I missing something? Has anyone any ideas to get disc copies of BG3 for PS5 for 80 euros or less? I know about 50 euro anime version for ps5, but it only features english and japanese.

I will sell you my copy for $200 US. Does that help?

ETA: I am still going to charge you shipping, though.

Please buy more physical copies for hundreds of euros, so that maybe Larian can afford to fix entire characters that are still broken a year after release and several months after all the GOTY parties.

Can you give some examples? Did you report those bugs?

The PC physical edition stills runs Steam, and requires activation on Steam. Other than the physical goodies, it is virtually indistinguishable in function from just buying it on Steam.

It is solely a collector's item; there is no practical value to it.

200 usd? Only if you accept split pay till november 2028. I can also pay with stolen sweetrolls and cheese (Skyrim reference).

This is why I always aim at ps5 play of triple A games and steamdeck play of indie games. Some games are almost free on steam deck. Other games are expensive everywhere, but can be sold again on ebay later if you buy physical. Play Station gamers have been saving thousands in cash since 90’s.
And some games like Forspoken are both cheaper and perform better on ps5, while also having physical copies. Making pc gaming or steamdeck gaming pretty much obsolete just in terms of saving money.

the only way youll get it cheaper is to wait a while for someone to resell it really

You don’t know how to read, huh? Read the last two sentences out loud. Omg, I just told you what I usually tell my kid, lmao. I wonder if you are a toddler too.

I am pretty sure the steam version does not have steam's drm, why does the physical copy require steam to run, or steam activation?

If it's 20 euro delivery to Japan that must mean they have to air ship it in low quantities or something.

So the issue is mostly that Japan stores did not purchase any physical quantities.

Still sucks for you if you really want a physical copy, but it's not really something Larian or any single person can quickly fix.

Anyone got any ideas on where to get it cheap?

I don't think there are many sellers that offer a disc version outside of their own store. Even Amazon is surprisingly lackluster on that front, aside form that one japanese version I'm seeing on my end.

I'd say check other vendors, if you can find any but from the looks of it, there are not many options.
