multiplayer good?
I'm curious about co op but none of my friends play bg3. Is it worth just setting my game to public and playing with randoms?

Rando's no, people you know or who are interested in playing with you, yes. I'd wager to guess many, if not most, people currently playing BG3 are playing Co-Op. The game was designed with multiplayer in mind (why there's no pause).

I personally wouldn't open up to randoms because people be suss.

That said, you really don't need other people to join in to thoroughly enjoy the game. :)

Oof, I couldn't play with another person in my first round, even less with a random person.

Good luck though finding a nice partner! :goldfeatherduster::steamhappy:

Games great with a friend. Each of you control 2 characters. Helps spread some of the tedious of the game around. Haven't gotten a 4 man group yet which I also think would be fun but I would recommend at least a 2 player run

haven't got the chance yet to run co-op either .. sighz, #IRL not easy to organise.
Guessing online 'friends' make/new will be easier like IRL too .. But have no idea how to get it done .. the whys, hows, whens, whats, ...
aka
A) game settings vs (B) steam friends list (settings)

You can always go onto the discord and ask for people that want to play, i personally would say specifically ask for people that dont want to hyper speedrun the game because those people love to pop in to play solo and show you how much they know about the game, it really sucks the fun right out.

I set my lobby to public for 10 hours and got 1 dude plus a couple people that requested to join but never came. The 1 guy just killed a quest npc i was about to talk to then ran away and speedran through quests lol

I tried joining games but never got past the request part, got like 10 declines and the rest didn't answer.

Random lobbies seem like a waste of time if anyones curious, but i'm still probably gonna leave my games open

Multiplayer is super fun, and you can create chaotic situations with a good group of friends. I wouldn't bother with randos.

Definitely check the Larian server for others looking to join up. It's not perfect, but you can at least vet people with a post history and use voice chat as well.

Look for Lobby names like "Honour run 4 people" or " H mode 4 bards" or "Honor mode join all". Then when you are in game, click escape, find the person on steam and talk. There are a lot of people who do some runs, so once your in community, you'll find enough ppl for any run.
