Is Myrnath still alive when you find him?

Define "alive"... His brain isn't his brain anymore, so I'd say he's more dead than alive.
Either way, his corpse is in my storage now :3

Is his consciousness still being processed by what used to be his brain, or are the movements we see all from Us?

I think it's all Us, Myrnath is just a used up host body.
