How Many Game-Breaking Bugs Are There (If Any?)
Basically what the title asks. I stopped playing around March because I had encountered a few minor bugs (nothing preventing me from playing, just annoying things that I wanted to have fixed) and have been waiting for the Patch 7 update. However, I am really wanting to play and was wondering if anyone has encountered bugs that hasn't allowed them to play (i.e, a quest cannot be completed) or if everything is just minor annoying things like I ran into. Thank you :)

Some people will insist they encounter all kinds of bugs, including some game-breaking ones. I've got no reason to think they're being dishonest about that- it seems like a pretty pointless thing to lie about, after all.
But that simply hasn't been my experience at all. In something like 1200 hours, I haven't encountered a single bug that couldn't be fixed by a simple quicksave and quickload, or at most restarting the game.
As for why people's experience is so different, I don't have the slightest idea.

I have gone through the game 3 times, including honor mode once with 0 game breaking bugs, that said I'd imagine with patch 7 being in development for the last 6 months it will probably fix/add a ton of things, so up to you. :p
my first attempt at playing the game was shortly after release, it was utterly unplayable 0/10 couldn't do anything without encountering a game breaking bug.

Since then i've beaten the game 4 times. My most recent play through on tactician mode only contained 1 game breaking bug fixable by a reload.

The game still isn't bug free but it is fairly close. The only time the current bugs are a pain is if you are playing honor mode where you can't reload a save, i have lost all 5 of my honor mode attempts to glitches in part 1.

I remember running into issues that were obnoxious (mostly relating to pathfinding issues that meant that you could leave half the party behind in certain places if you weren't paying attention and instead assumed that characters would actually successfully follow you), but nothing that was actually gamebreaking.

Be aware that it's most likely not a bug when certain events cause a quest to fail or be unavailable. Taking too much time to do other stuff in rare instances counts as a wrong choice. Saying the wrong thing or failing a roll to achieve a result can result in quests ending badly or other quests not being available later.

A few people seem to think that all quests should be do-able on the first run when several situations are exclusive to each other and call it a bug when they can't do it.

Just reinstalled the game in hopes to fix a bug where my characters would freeze in position and no dialogue in the cut scenes.

There are still bugs for sure, I just completed my first run not long ago with a friend, and Ive seen more than a couple that could cause a player to revert saves, or restart all together.
It's pretty much a crapshoot as I have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rig, and one of my good friends has an op pc, and Im generally fine, but they crash consistently.
Most likely you wont find anything until ACT 3 anyways...
Good luck.

This is 100% for me. the only bug ive encountered several times is saving Minthara from prison. If you choose to fight your way out she bugs and after the fight on her gaurds you cannot speak to her.

I encountered this bug twice, was able to temporarily fix it with console though Minty disappeared after the Myrkul fight.

This is hardly a "game breaking" bug as I see it

I abandoned the run because it was honor mode but a regular mode a reload would've fixed this np

6 full runs completed. 3 honor... never seen a "game breaking" bug. Ive had some seriously bad outcomes but that's part of honor mode
