You do know several calendars are used on Toril, right? The Dalereckoning or DR is one of the most common in Faerun, like the Gregorian calendar is on Earth.
Dalereckoning (DR)
Dalereckoning is taken from the Year of Sunrise, 1 DR, when the Standing Stone was raised by the elves of Cormanthyr and the humans of the Dalelands. Since this time, humans were permitted by the Elven Court to settle in the more open regions of the forests. In some texts, primarily those which do not have direct ties to Dalesfolk history, Dalereckoning is called Freeman's Reckoning (FR). The calendar is widely used in Faerûn but has not spread beyond its shore.

So, for example, it's 3628 MC in the Mulhorand Calendar.
Didja know what else happened that year?
"A magical book called Shemshime's Bedtime Rhyme causes a curse to spread in Candlekeep, causing all those infected to be unable to resist humming a specific nursery rhyme. The Avowed quarantine the cursed individuals beneath the House of Rest."
1492 DR is when Descent into Avernus ends, and BG3 begins. But some adventures are already set in future years so from a larger scale FR campaign view (1495-6 DR), it's already the past.
I know this was stuff you were dying to know, since you asked.

So, the calendar year is made up of 12 months of 30 days - or three tendays - and then five "special" days are ended to make a 365 day year (reminds me of the Mayan calendar).
Didja notice nobody says "X or Y happened on a Monday?" Well, there are no names for the days of a tenday. It's just tenday 1, tenday 2, etc., etc.
Just a reminder that the game is not set on Earth. Even though, yes, technically, it takes Toril the same number of days to go around its sun and it still has one moon.
Not dying to know, but always happy to. :)
"All knowledge is worth having" ;)
This is less useful than you might think as a prediction, since while some of the year names refer to really big, important events a lot of them refer to some minor local event the rest of the world never even notices.
