Combat XP vs Social XP?
Simply put, do I get more for Combat or is it the same?

Far as I can tell, it is the same. But, there may be differences in gaining individual Inspirations and Exp, mostly for social. So there's that.

More often than not killing things gives you more XP than talking your way out of a fight. From what I have noticed.

It depends. You usually get the encounter xp even if you get through it diplomatically.

Nope. Most of us wouldn't care.
There is enough EXP available in the game that ultimately it doesn't matter.

However, if the OP is looking for the quickest path to 12, you just don't spend your inspiration points.

Well, you can also change the EXP curve with a simple text file too.

All XP is the same. Just know that there's a level cap, so grinding will only do so much for you.

I've experienced it differing based on the encounter. Take Lae'zel in the cage for example. Resloving through conversation grants 10xp when she joins the party. Killing them grants 15xp each, plus the 10 when she joins the party.
