Lolth cleric tiefling
I like that I can make tiefling or human who worships Lolth in the game. But why did the developers allow this? This goddess hates everyone who is not drow race :steamsad:

Not quite true, according to the Forgotten Realms wiki, while Lolth is predominantly worshipped by Drow, she does have followers from other races.

There’s a section in Act 1 where you encounter a number of journals written by a High Elf who came to worship Lolth, and the rewards she received

For all what matters there is no big deal in a Tiefling who identifies as Drow. Besides you have also among Crows Warlocks.

In one of the books when Moander was killed lloth absorbed his godly powers so she could claim his human worshippers

It's a bit more complicated than that. Lolth is as much interested in the torment and suffering of the Drow as she is in their worship. Gods also tend to welcome more worshippers as this in turn makes them more powerful.

When has a god hating ever stopped a fanatic from worshipping? Shar is *literally* causing Shadowheart pain every five minutes and that girl is still like "my lady protects me". Are you kidding? Look at Vlaakith - there is nothing objectively beneficial to the Githyanki about worshipping her, she's quite literally eating them to increase her own power, but does that stop anyone from *believing*? Nope.

You know, I think my favorite is Loviatar. She's up front about who she is, and is the only one (at least in my playthroughs) who seems to grant a useful blessing. She's got my vote.

It's not unreasonable for people to believe in a God that hasn't their best interest at heart. That exists in the real World too.

Tieflings can be Drow / have Drow ancestry... Tieflings are any race with devil blood in their bloodline. If not an outright Drow or half-Drow, Tieflings are the next best choice for a Lolth Cleric.

Tieflings are explicitly from Humans, even in 5e.

They did in previous versions of D&D. Flavor-wise, they were just tankier clerics. Oaths are more faithful to the knight in shining armor archetype.
