Possible to rename campaign / folder title?
I've Googled this and I see multiple threads saying it's not possible (that renaming the files only results in being unable to load them, then) - all of these threads are from quite a while ago though, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any new info or if this has now been changed?

(I want to rename my character at the mirror, but then the save folder / campaign is titled the original name; I'm only going to bother if I can get them to match up).

Thanks

1. Change the character name in the mirror.

2. Save.

3. Start a new character with the desired name.

4. Overwrite the new save file with the new character with your previous save file while preserving the folder structure.

Clever :P
Thank you.

I did this just now - and strangely enough, as soon as I overwrote the new-name file with the old save - I now have 2 campaigns / folders with the new name. Even though just before I posted this, I changed my name at the mirror, and it did not alter the folder name. I am thoroughly confused now.

Sounds about right. Make a new savegame with the adjusted name then you can delete the leftovers with the old name etc.

To be on the safe side make a backup of your latest savegame e.g. by copying it to desktop first.

Yes I will make backups before doing any deleting, thank you.

But no it's weird what happened - I created a new file with the new name, loaded the old save, saved over the new name to create the folder title I desired - but when I did this it got rid of the original name folder?

I did what you suggested - the old name file disappeared, and was converted to the new one somehow. So I had 2 folders with the new name repeated, and the old folder was gone (re-named itself).

So, no idea what happened.

It is weird.
If you are using Steam Cloud I can imagine it is an attempt to synchronise the discrepancy.

In that case it might be best if you deactivate Steam Cloud temporarily until you have sorted it out. You know how to do that?

Yes, but it should be ok.

I just deleted the 'new' folder and kept all the old files, since it changed the name after all lol. Thank you for the help!
