I placed all 4 party members on it, activated the lever to ascend and my Tav and Shdwhrt stayed behind by gltiching through the platform and remaining on the ground.
When I sent the elevator back down I forgot to move them and they both got crushed by the platform dying instantly lol.
After much trial and error I saw that the elevator would only accept two passengers at a time.
When I got the Traversal Platform that takes you to the Shadowfell I saved beforehand and experienced a similar thing.
I just sent it back it forth and got my party there one at a time.
In retrospect there is a fast travel point right next to the Shadowfell so my advice would be to just send one party member down the Traversal Platform first with all three gems, reach the waypoint, save, and fast travel to camp and fast travel all of your party to that waypoint, bypassing the Traversal Platform.
If you're doing Honor Mode don't risk either of those elevators.
Some folks came up with other ways to deal with this issue on Reddit so It's worth looking there for help, but yeah you're not the only one and it sucks.
But I found a solution on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/18d3fks/how_to_fix_a_failed_honour_mode_save/
After following the steps, I was able to recover my Honor save. Now I know I can't trust the platform anymore.
