"As of Hotfix 17, The helmet is bugged to not protect against Stunned despite the tooltip stating as such."
On replay, this game's combat is shockingly bug-ridden. Many things do not behave as their tooltip states, either through non-matching design or bugs. This state, this long after launch, is honestly a shock and a big disappointment.
Oh, boy, welcome to the real world.
There's a ton of items that don't work as advertised. Have a look if you're bored.

And this only includes gear... There are also potions and scrolls which don't work as intended.
Is alchemist oil one of the bugged things? I notice if I try to pass it to another party member, it disappears. At first I thought I was just imagining things, but it's happened so many times now I know I'm not. I'll pass a stack to Gale or Asty, and when I go to their inventories, it's just not there.
There is no such item, Alchemist oil.
There is Alchemist's Fire, which is a grenade which explodes when thrown. To pass it around, TAB to open the inventories and drag it across the character inventories after splitting the stack. Don't throw it to another character!
Then, there is Arsonist's Oil, which is a coating that's supposed to turn Fire Resistance to Fire Vulnerability. This oil does not work because it is bugged.
Yeah, the fire one. I always pass things through inventory. I do it with arrows or health potions all the time. But any time I pass the fire, it disappears. If I just drag it to their portrait or if I right click and do send to. So I've just stopped trying.
That does sound like a bug.
Last ditch attempt, you can try to drop the stack (Drop item) and pick it up from the ground with the other characters.
I can give that a try. Right now my work around is just to shop with different people and have them buy directly from the vendor, instead of shopping with Gale and passing them out like I do with everything else.
lol yeah, he's a goober but I love him. But since the rest of my party has the charisma of a turnip, Gale does the shopping.
Hello in the real world bugs are still annoying and should be mentioned, thanks tho
Only gamers could say that knowing all the bugged items in a single game could qualify as "the real world"...it is literally overly specific knowledge about a fake world, outside still exists...
