Yeh we know
Durge is an evil ending. I didn't list most of what they are doing, you can read right?
1. evil endings, photo mode, console-PC crossplay; eh, not stuff I'm interested in, but I guess are promises made and about to be kept.
2. that's the first time I've heard them say official modding support means official mod TOOLS, again, "officially" (as opposed to speculation). I think that's pretty exciting. Though we don't know what these tools will be like or what they will be able to do. As always, I'm hoping they open scripting/console access for all platforms.
3. they didn't say there would be patches after Patch 7, though it seems hotfixes, for sure, will continue to follow.
4. nothing in the feature list mentioned about Minthara updates, though they also said, "we haven't described all the features in the feature update," also.
5. looks like two games are in the oven. I'm pretty sure one is D:OS 3. What the other is they are working on, well, we're all waiting for that shoe to drop. We just know it's NOT D & D.
However no Minthara Content, No Minthara improvement = Bad Patch.
If there is full scripting access, and I think there will be, yes, modders might be able to make quests, or interactive companions. (It will take a lot of work, but ... )
Most interestingly, with proper access, it looks like everybody will be able to run something like Daughter of Lolth mod, which means, you can get Minthara the way you want to, not the byzantine way the game forces you to.
I'm excited for a better ending of anything. Yes, first official mod support. That may quiet a few people down on these boards, but I'm sure they cannot please everyone.
Could also see Ketheric return as a companion who apparently was at one point also suppose to have been a possible companion.
Considering the modding tools will allow us to add new visuals, sounds, animations, stats and more, I expect new quests, custom companions etc. Time will tell to see how indepth Larian's modding tools will be, but I expect they wont disappoint,
Edit: We dont even have modding tools yet and the mods we do have are pretty awesome. Can't imagine what modders can do with proper modding tools.
But we will see how long will this game be supported with new content and not just fixes.
No DLC but maybe we will get a Enhanced/Definitive edition with more content and improved stuff in the future as all of Larian's recent games got that.
