Is the narrator same as our Guardian? If so why does it still sounds the same even after... *SPOILERS*
How come our Guardian still has the same voice as narrator even after the Emperor reveal in Act 3? I never saw anyone asking about this. It feels kinda uncanny to hear the same female narrator in Tav's head and then in another part, the Emperor's male voice

The narrator and the Guardian are not related to each other; as the narrator's role is to simulate the experience of a dungeon master in DnD, while the Guardian is a character within that experience.

Neither are voiced by the same actress either; as the narrator is voiced by Amelia Tyler, while the female Guardian is voiced by Diana Bermudez.

The Narrator is not the same as the Guardian.

According to IMDB, the Narrator is voice by Amelia Tyler. The Guardian is voiced by Diana Bermudez (female) and Ethan Reid (male). The Emperor is voiced by Scott Joseph.

Tav isn't hearing the Narrator. She is there solely for us, the players.

Edit: ninja'd!

They actually have different voice timbre, but it can be heard only when Narrator issues some emotionally coloured phrases (f.e. when speaking about effects of the Spirit of the Cursed Monk trial). Otherwise, OP is correct, the voices are very easy to take as the same, even for my tuneful ear.

Huh, that's interesting. To me they clearly sound like two different people. I have never really considered before that the ability to tell voices apart is an individual thing.

It is, pal. More so, it can be trained if one isn't completely deaf. And for most mothers it comes naturally to hear out their child exactly in the choir of many others' voices)))
