good on you. that's a run ender if you're not careful
I don't know how it works in combat yet, but the constructs have a weakened animation and turrets close up when in range of the sussur bloom. It doesn't have any visible effect on Bernard, but he does get the Sussur Flower Antimagic Field condition.
For the purposes of making Bernard drop his weapon, just make sure Shadowheart, or whoever your spellcaster is, isn't holding the sussur bloom, nor in range of its effect, and you should be fine to cast command.
I lose sometimes, though, so I wouldn't do it in Honor Mode. It's a pretty easy fight on Balanced, but pretty tough on Tactical.
