Help with multiclassing mechanics?
I'm a Storm Sorc, level 3. I just got a scroll of summon quasit (Shovel), I plan to take my next level up in Wizard so I can scribe the scroll, then continue to level as a Storm Sorc for the rest of the game.

Will this let me cast Summon Quasit (Shovel) once I continue levelling as a Storm Sorc? Which spell slots will it use (just the level one spell slot I guess I would get from the one level in Wizard?).

I know there are other ways to get Shovel, but I don't want to use cheese or circumvent anything. Just want to take a level in Wiz to get him simple and square.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Technically it will use a wizard spell slot, but since it's a ritual spell it's free.

Read the bg3.wiki article on multiclassing. It's a little complicated for spellcasters but its essential reading if you want to go that route. Spell slots do not belong to the different classes, they are the product of your Effective Caster Level. (Warlocks are a different magic system so don't count towards your ECL). But, spells do belong to different classes depending on how they were learned, and will cast with different Spell Casting Ability Scores, according to the class. However, for magic items and casting from scrolls (not scribing scrolls) the Spell Casting Ability is always the one used by the last class that you took a FIRST level in. Even fi it is not a caster class. (Every class has a Spell Casting Ability -- check the article for classes on bg3.wiki.

As a sorcerer (aka a "spell-♥♥♥♥♥") you can actually get the spell for free. But yes, you can scribe it as a wizard if you take a wizard level.

There is a problem, though. If you multi-class into wizard that is going to change your spell-casting proficiency attribute for scrolls and items to INT. And as a sorcerer, you likely don't have a very high INT. Just a consideration.

Considering that Shovel can teach it to you once you talk to her, it's not really "cheesing" anything. You're learning it a legit way from the familiar itself.

If you are dead set on it, you don't get an extra 1st level spell slot from Wizard, but you get effective caster levels like artemisone said. If you go 11 sorc/1 wiz you still get spells like a level 12 caster. Since you have a Wizard level, you will be able to scribe a bunch of spells to cast in addition to your Sorcerer spells, but they will all use your INT as a casting stat so will likely be pretty poor (unless you wear the Warped Headband of Int all game). You can "get around this" by only casting wizard spells that don't need attack rolls of saves (basically just buffs).

I'll elaborate on this just ecause it's very important.

In BG3 the spll casting proficiency is chosen based on the LAST class you acquired, not the first, in case the OP doesn't know. Take this into consideration when multiclassing.

I just finished with a 11 Sorc/1 Wiz playthrough, and to clarify yes you can scribe spells, but with only one level in wizard, you can only have one spell active at a time. For example, I scribed all of the legendary books from Sorcerous Sundries, plus the cantrips and the 1st level spells you get as normal for wizard, but I can only have one 'prepared' at a time (so I always had Artistry of War prepared, instead of say Darkness). That then gets added to the spells you can cast.

I've got two shovels due to Gale being a bit of a Wizard multiclass into Bard and then my character who went 1 level into Warlock for a crit build. Useful little guys if buffed with Aid and the Movement Speed increase spell. Invisibility can be really good for getting sneak attacks or opening doors and whatnot.
