Best stats and skills for a Durge Paladin
I'd like to make my 2nd run with Dark Urge.
I don't know the best skills and stats for him tho.
I'd like to make him a Paladin but idk which oath is good between vengeance and devotion.

Could someone help me?

Generally with a Paladin (whether Durge or any character) you want as much strength as you can get, then good charisma and constitution. Int is a dump stat, and you can leave dex at 10 if you plan to wear heavy armour. (you can even dump dex down to 8, but I prefer not to as it means usually going last in combat)

As for oaths, Vengeance is probably the most mechanically powerful and easiest to play without breaking your oath, but I'd honestly just advise reading the tenets of each oath and deciding which one you think is more fun.

Hi, I played my first run with the Dark Urge, as paladin i choose the vengeance path. As paladin if you break your Oath and unlock another sub-class wich gives you different skills. This choice is reversable any time

Without or without elixirs? and multi-class or not? easier to help this way. Difficulty also helps.

I've used elixirs sometimes, it depends on the situation tho.
I usually used fire-resistance elixirs or maximum poison resistance, things like that.

Multi-class... I don't know.
My first run was a classic Fighter without a multi-class so... i don't know which new other class could be good for a paladin

Alright, thank you for your advice!

So if i break the oath, I'll have a new sub-class, interesting!

The by far strongest mono-pala build is shadowblade oathbreaker paladin I would recommend a quick respec once you get to the grove and farm a bunch of strength elixirs from Ethel. So that you can dump all your strength seeing as the elixirs set you to 21 str no matter what. You can make it work without that.

There is a guide to the build as well that you can follow https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Lmfb4NAFMWrVoWpcj5ec6-LZ_GC9endYMePEF0llDS8/edit?hl=de&pli=1#heading=h.xalnsomy176u

You do NOT need to build a party around it like the guide suggests it is a very powerful build on it´s own and is more than Honour Mode viable. Also if you use the shadowbalde exploit https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Killer%27s_Sweetheart becomes your 2nd BiS ring bar none due to how smites work.

That elixir farming/respec thing always struck me as a bit cheesy.

But if I did go that route, how many would be enough?

depends on party setup and how much you long rest if only 1 character needs them 10-20 should be just fine assuming you are not non-stop long resting to get to act 3. You can make to with even less but it is all based around how many long rests you will end up needing.

There are 4 instances of forced long rests before act 3 one of them takes place after the Mountain Pass when Voss visits you other after druid grove situation is resolved. The 3rd one is when you leave act 2 and enter act 3 technically there is 2 of them back to back. Pretty sure they can not be skipped as far as I am aware which is when you fight of Opheous honor guard because before and after you get long rests.

Apart from that it is based on when you feel you need a long rest and what story moments you want at camp.
