Suddenly Can't Cast Spells

I suddenly cannot cast spells. Tried a clean install, removing mods, everything. Has anyone else had this issue? I am currently reinstalling it.

The most likely cause of this - are you as a wizard (or whatever class) wearing armor or equipment that you are not proficient with? Because the immediate impact is you lose your ability to cast spells.

Some boots are medium armor and will cause your spells to gray out if you are armor restricted.

I literally am starting the game and cant cast from go, even in a completely virgin game
