Reading tablets on nautiloid
Is anyone else having issues with reading the tablets on the Nautiloid? I get the options to read them as do my companions, but some of them just won't be read.

Yeah, The one by the body on the table, and the one on the table with the books always read for me. The desk has 3, and only 1 (whichever I click first) reads. Not sure why there are 3 there if only 1 works :/

They seem to have changed it so only the ones with relevant entries can be read now, IIRC there were originally a few readable "flavour" tablets lying around as well.

I think this was intentional although I did not see it in any notes, anywhere. I believe the ones they removed refer to the Grand Design and the illithid planar travel, which, I suppose, could be construed as a potential spoiler if you really know your D&D lore. Or, maybe they only trigger for certain characters, like Lae'zel.

As I recall, before Patch 5 all the tablets on Nautiloid were readable without any impediments. If considered the current walkthrough being the first one, none of them spoilered anything about the plot. F.e., the one previously telling something about an 'anomaly' can be equally referred to the two different creatures you meet later along the plot.
Lae'zel is a rather young gith warrior, she has been abducted and tadpoled at the same nautiloid raid as MC. She isn't a scholar to study any high sacraments and therefore cannot read illithid scriptures. Command button glyphs at the apparatuses controls on the nautiloid require an Arcana check, which (in my walkthroughs) she sistematically failed.

send in your issue with your savegame and screenshots here

via email support@larian.com

or

via online form https://larian.com/support/baldur-s-gate-3#modal

only then it gets tracked and investigated by Larian Studios properly :spacehamster:

So far Larian Studios very busily addressed every >>tracked<< problem. But the number of players twindle, and Larian Studios will not be on it forever. Only if everyone report bugs properly, we can get the best version of the game before the end of service.
