Except I was never "clearly informed" about this.
Also, WTF kind of contrived ability is that? Seriously? The ability to cast Power Word Kill (a ninth level spell slot) at unlimited range, no line of sight, up to 4 targets, and no spell slot is extremely broken even if it takes 5 rounds to charge. Realistically that guy could go around literally killing the entire planet if he wanted to and no one would know WTF is going on. Why isn't he kind of the cosmos yet?
If they wanted to make the fight challenging, they could have given the NPCs higher stats and player-like abilities instead of this video-gamey nonsense.
I just know everyone else despawns if he dies.
So i always just jump to him, Take off the unstopable and then toss/Shove them down the chasm.
Lol
Lol, that's hilarious. And pretty much exactly proves my point. You can beat these encounters in a completely corny-ass way like that without even understanding what is going on, so its not tactical or actually challenging on tactician mode, just needlessly obtuse.
And that's what basically happens the rest of my playthrough. Except for a few parts, the entire game is a breeze on tactician. Then you run into some weird ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and die until looking it up on the internet. 200 IQ game design.
