Also D&D is SI old, that even the original rpg map may have changed a lot. You should compare the BG3 map to official D&D 5h edition Baldurs gate map… and even that would be somewhat useless, because the games makes maps that suits to their game and their story in the game.
And so… The GB1 map is right
BG2 map is right.
BG3 map is right!
And all possible D&D editons all Baldurs gate maps are the right ones!
Because they all are made to suit the story and adventure that has been writen in those products!
Anything else would be foolish.
But if you want accurasy. The current time Baldurs Gate map from current D&D edition is the official Baldurs game map… and BG1 did not use that one… for good reason. But if you want to be kosher. Use original D&D maps, not computer game maps!
But in my eyes, they all are the correct ones!
Flaming Fist HQ seems to have moved, as things will.
Elfsong and Sorcerous Sundries are still pretty close to each other.
Ramazith's Tower is actually still in the upper city. You go there via portal and you leave there via portal.
In Tales Of The Sword Coast, you find the "Butter Knife of Balduran" at the shipwreck site on Lycanthrope Island.
