Stuck in Honor
Stuck in a boss fight on my Honor mode campaign. Fighting the apostle of Myrkul. Can't seem to post any screenshots on here so I'll describe my situation. Party consists of a Paladin/Warlock, Barbarian, Cleric and Rogue. Only people actually alive are Astarion on 1hp and Shadowheart on 7hp. Shadowheart has no spell slots and her turn is after the Apostle's. There's a spectator in combat with us tanking the rays. I basically have only Astarion's turn to survive this situation and I'm almost 100% sure he's gonna use Call of the Damned so the only way I can think of surviving is using a scroll of blink, but then idk what to do. I have a large amount of potions but no potions of healing. I used the long rest potion that I had already. The Apostle is on 271hp and doesn't have any undead summoned. Aylin is downed and pretty much useless. I've already tried using the door to escape and it hasn't worked. Open to any suggestions, I really don't want to restart.

Sounds to me like you gotta do 271 points of damage before your spectator dies. Unlikely, but find a way that's possible and go for it

I'm looking for either a solid strategy to win/escape or a confirmation that my game is doomed so I can take a look at modding in cheats to save my progress. If you need screenshots I'd be happy to send them using dm.

take this run as a learning experience, and start over.
With that few HP, a spectator and Myrkul at 271 HP, it's joever. Even if you survive with Blink, you're not surviving long enough to deal 300 damage (600 before resistance) with 8 combined HP in the party.

Or just cheat. I guess. If you're already open to that. But then why play on Honour mode ?

If you cheat it also kills your playthrough, that's called dishonour mode. You can upload images on whatever image upload site you choose and post the links on here

The Spectator is hostile to everything. Toss it far away enough and it keeps aggro on enemies, and not on you.

I think there is a wildmagic mod that summons them, but no idea what one.

Only chance (very small) would be if you had invisibility potions for Astarion and sneak attacked Myrkul over and over, but I don't think there is any way you can stop the wave of necromites healing him back up, so it's going to be pretty much impossible.

Telekinesis is useful here if your Paladin or Barbarian are down on the platform and bone chilled, you can pull them off and then heal them up. They would be the ones you need on Myrkul to take him down.

Cheese method:
Just saw a honor mode speed run take down both Kethric/Myrkul in less than a minute with only 2 players. They had Lae'zel go invisible and free the nightsong in the 1st turn.

They had the other player jump up on the platform in the front left and threw a clutch of smokepowder grenades on Kethric (throw/split item allows multiples to be thrown), down in 1 shot, and then drank a speed potion and immediately did the same 1 shot on Myrkul.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately call of the damned doesn't care if my characters are invisible or not and I used all of my smokepowder/runepowder blowing him up the first time. This is my first playthrough so I didn't know he'd have a 2nd form :(. I have practically every potion up to this point and a lot of scrolls/magic items. My best idea is to cast blink and drink a short rest potion, but I don't know if that'd work out.

Honour mode is much more fun with the bosses' unique attacks and not being able to undo my own mistakes. I like having to live with the consequences of my actions, emphasis on 'live' though. Mostly playing on honour mode to keep myself in check, otherwise I'd probably reload the save every time I see "Karlach Disapproves".

I think something has changed with patch 6 and bosses like Myrkul only take limited damage from explosive powder or something like that. You convince Kethric to sacrifice himself so that you don't fight him. Myrkul can be easily killed with a bottle of water and Scrolls of Chain Lightning. I used 2 rolls to summon lesser (fire) elementals and killed the Necromites with them. Scratch freed Dame Aylin with "Help". Protecting your group from being scared is also very helpful.

What would I try in your situation? Maybe Scroll of Globe of Invulnerability, Arrows of Teleportation to get away, Arrows of many targets to remove adds ... a total of only 8 Hp isn't much :)

Hope you manage it somehow. :)
