Corrupted save files on crashes
I'll start off by saying that i live in a place where electricity goes out randomly and it's not really anyone's fault that the save files get corrupted but is there a way larian could attempt to prevent that ?

Losing over 150 hours of HM (3 tries, all lost to corruption) isn't.... mentally healthy

I doubt Larian could do anything about that. Maybe it's time to invest in an ups, if that happens regularly, giving you at least enough time to properly shut down the system.
Saves aren't the only thing that can get corrupted when system power gets interrupted, though admitedly modern OS's seem to handle it way better then older systems...

Use backups as described here

And should you run into the unlikely situation of having a power outage during savegame, overwrite the problematic savegame with your backup. Simple as that.

Not really. I mean they're doing all they should I think. They allow you to create n different save files, so if one gets broken or corrupted you should have anywhere from 25-49 other save files to pick from either your own saves or automatic ones.

It's your OS that should deal with getting stuff on the disk safely. You may well consider whether there are settings to disable any buffering the OS is doing before writing to disk - most Desktop operating systems do this because it improves performance quite significantly, but at the risk if power is lost that data can be.

Although with journaling filing systems it's rare these days that the disk structure is corrupted to the point where the machine won't boot as would happen decades ago.

Your obvious solution is like a laptop - it has its own battery power supply that doesn't stop when the power goes. For desktop PCs these are called 'uninterruptible power supplies' - if you get one of these it'll fix every game and application and all your other devices that you have plugged in.

They tend to range in size and capability - some are going to be expensive. But a UPS that provides just a few minutes of power - enough for you to save your game, power off your PC and find a book to read that'll teach you how to create economic stability and infrastructure in your country, won't be that expensive and, as I say, that fixes the problem across the board rather than just one random game.

Not sure what’s with the condescension and assumptions in your last paragraph but a UPS was going to be the long term solution for this either way as the power crashes are affecting my work in other area as well. I was hoping to see if there were any temporary solutions to prevent losses until i get one and a previous commenter helped.
