LARIAN, HEAR ME— Add a Custom Mode Honour Difficulty (Legendary actions + NO save restrictions)
I've beaten the game on Honour Mode, i love it dearly, but frankly without the legendary actions the game is ridiculously easy. I want to 100% this game but i still would like a challenge while i do it. There needs to be an option to have all the honour mode difficulty settings without the single save restriction in custom mode—or at the very least, remove the single save restriction on a 'failed' honour mode campaign when it reverts to custom. Please Larian, do this for me and i will never stop playing

They're done with DND and WOTC so no dlc or BG4. But small extra stuff (like evil endings that they've confirmed are in the making) and changes for BG3 are not out of the question so an extra option for an already existing thing is totally possible.

It's a good idea, but purhaps a Modder will be able to do it. Or at least, add the legendary actions to Tactician enemies where appropriate.

It's downright retarded maybe a mistake? that Custom mode does not have options for honor mode for stricker action economy and legendary actions for bosses etc.

That's exactly what I wanted to play. Tactician without silly haste doubling your attacks nonsense. So just get the "Honor mode features unlocker" mod. That's what I did.

It's retarded that we have to use mods for this.

Yeah I don't know why they didn't

Honor mode would still exist as the ultimate challenge that gives an achievement, don't lock actual gameplay behind it

Considering this is not the way to communicate with Larian, also there is no Larian support...i am even unsure why it is posted here?:D

Legendary Actions are integral to regular D&D. However this game caters to the lowest common denominator. So you need "Honor Mode" to have Legendary Actions. But the real difficulty isn't the gameplay, its the bugs. Hence: One Savegame. If the game were truly difficult the amount of saves wouldn't matter. A player isn't going to slowly work out an encounter and cheapen the experience. It's just gated bs.

Makes no sense. And it's still too easy when basic Conditions can trivialize most if not all encounters. Fighting the Avatar of a God, Sons of Arch Devils? Just bring Darkness. Wasn't a lot of thought put into the encounters. So your choice is to play a gimped D&D campaign a six year old can beat (their target audience), or a middling difficulty with Legendary Actions, but only a single save game...which again would be totally fine.... if the majority of folks weren't losing that save game to bugs. Still only 1% have completed it? That was the # when I finished. It wasn't hard if and only if you understand the mechanics which aren't documented for Timmy and his ilk.

And they still patch just about every week with a myriad of "crashes" which makes it hard to argue otherwise. For example, look at todays patch. Had you saved during any of those moments they mention in the patch notes your honor mode run is over. And I literally have never encountered the ones they mentioned. Yet bugs that have been mentioned for over 2 years (rumbler) still exist.

There are lazy mods that inflate HP. But all that's doing is artificially increasing the TTK but do nothing to increase the actual challenge. That's in the hands of developers whose brains are tapped out at Spank and Tank. There's no single encounter in this game otherwise.

Just wondering what is the challenge diffrence between a failed "honor mode", and Honor mode?
Any spesific mechanics that only appears in a "unfailed" state?

I thought it turned it into custom mode so you lost the legendary actions
