Also wizards in BG3 are still strong, they just didn't see appeal in the class and viewed them as not really useful and when planning out a campaign made statements about them not having much that a sorcerer didn't have etc..... so while looking for some numbers on what was removed I had to get the summary of it and numbers myself and thought I would share.
for clarity, the following should apply to other classes and are numbers for tabletop DND not bg3 and may be outdated
if anyone finds something is missing please let me know, I tried to avoid including anything not within vanilla but some expansion tied spells may have ended up on the list for tabletop.
important note is that a wizard can know/learn all the spells in their spell list given they find a item that they can learn it from or someone in a campaign teaches them and they have the gold for it while other classes have restrictions on how many can be known like sorcerers etc
BTW, I'm not going to type out the whole list of what it adds (go to the Nexus page and look for yourself), but I will do a simple count. In total, it adds (including cantrips), ,,, my count is 92 spells (though not all are wizard spells). (Some look crossed off, looks like they could not be implemented.)
BTW -- it also looks like now - and this was NOT true before - it now includes 7th, 8th, and 9th level spells, after a recent update. (Which you obviously would need Unlock Level Curve in order to use.)
7th - finger of death, regenerate
8th - dominate monster, feeblemind, holy aura, mind blank
9th - foresight, power word: heal, power word: kill
BTW - I believe PW: Kill has always been in the game, just normally not available to the player, only to enemies.
Incidentally, I suspect despite them putting it in the game, you will NOT be able to use regenerate to, uh, solve a certain tiefling's "problem".
