Mac and PC Crossplay?!?

Me and a friend want to play together. I have a mac, he has a PC, and because only PC has the latest patch, we cant play together. Can someone help me with workarounds for this? Can he roll back to a previous version? Can i get a code to join his beta? HEEELP

I was not aware there is Crossplay already? It is planed but it is not yet possible, no?

There is crossplay, but since PC gets updates faster than mac does, they usually stay out of sync most of the time. Two weeks ago i played with him (me on my mac and him on his pc) and it worked fine. But since the last update which was ONLY for PC, we cant play. So we are trying to figure out how to work around this.

Mac and Windows crossplay already exists. However, the Mac delivery of Patch 6 is delayed behind the Windows rollout, so it makes cross-platform crossplay difficult to do unless you revert the version of the Windows machine(s).

How long delayed? Last timeframe Larian gave was 2 weeks, though it looks like for Patch 6 it may possibly be longer. Look at it this way: by the time Patch 6 drops for Mac, some issues may have been fixed, some nerdrage may have settled down. Saul Goodman. Larian says to watch their Twitter DIscord etc. for announcements.

So, OP, there is a way to rollback your Windows version - unfortunately this is mojo I don't know but if somebody else can come along, I know there are ways to do that.

I bought this based on reading that you could play with other steam players. The game launcher literally ties into steam. My Mac can't play with my Husband's PC Thanks Devs!

Patch 7 hasn't been released for Mac yet, as indicated by the patch notes. Windows players need to roll back to Patch 6 to keep playing with Mac players.
