[Co-Op question, spoiler warning] Can you Ascend Astarion in a 4 player party?
Question in the title.

It's that I have a group of friends who are in act II of the story, and after they are done with their playthrough I'll be able to play with them as well. One of them plays a Monk, On his second playthrough I will ask him if he wants to min-max a monk, if he wants to maximize a monk's damage, ascending Astarion is the way to go, as nobody else can get +1d10 for free on every hit. But is that possible in a full party of players?

It should be, if they are playing origin character.
In a four player party NPC stories cannot be progressed as you cannot take them along, but if they are origin characters you have to take them along in form as avatars. So their stories are always accessible.
