Thank you for this response! I was quite frustrated yesterday and being able to follow your directions really helped. I was able to successfully use Withers to respec. My best guess is that I must have missed the subclass selection at level 2 because the icon already had the checkmark on it rather than the red exclamation mark for missing choices.
That is easy to overlook. Example is Shadowheart. Who by default has the worse Cleric subclass there is. To get her a better subclass for a cleric, you need to respec her using Withers.
