Kaniss gone, no way of getting moon lantern or pixie

thats it.I followed Karniss to moonrise towers as soon as i hit act 2, decided to kill the harpers as previous play throughs they take the moonlantern. On arrival he leaves. Isobel doesnt have moonlantern and now i can only advance to end act 2 skipping all quests inculding shadow hearts and "dark urge" as ill have to fight and kill everyone including Damon a very valuable vendor. Anyone know how i can get one ..please don't say kill Nere in act 1. i accidently let him flee by long resting after killing all the duegar

There is a moonlantern in balthazar's room of moonrise tower. The disciple half orc lady gives you the key and sends you to find balthazar.

you definitely took the more difficult path but you can find another lantern.

Also:
Kaniss doesn't just magically disappear.

He goes to the top of the tower. You can sneak up to the top and steal the Moon Lantern from him with Command: Drop and some Darkness or Fog cloud cover (but don't get too close to Kethric or things may go badly for you).

i guess im fooked .I freed minthara and went back to loot and thin out the tower for the later siege. after being inside for 20 minutes they noticed Minth and now the entire tower is agro...Going to try invis potion to get to the roof and maybe steal moonlantern. It tactician so i can scum save

Just go to the last light, you'll get a protective spell there from the Selune Priest

I have it. I was going to wait as im going to kill Isobel and want most everyone gone but i saved Isobel and got her buff...I dont think it works deep out in the shadow by the house of healing or sharts questline

I just fast travel there. It's the first location you go to.

Not the broken moonlantern / dead pixie in his secret lab, there is an actual white moonlantern in his main chambers.
