GustavDev error AGAIN (Other people have had this issue)
"Error: Connection failed: Mod 'GustavDev' and/or its dependencies don't match the server's. This can be caused by corrupt files (not possible i just played vanilla multiplayer with my friend earlier today, never touched mods in my life in BG3) or files that have been changed (how?).

The other friend I attempted to play with had this issue. Brand new save. He disabled and deleted his mods and it still wont let me join him (new save).

A lot of mods users have shown in countless forums posts in the past that they are under common misconceptions when it comes to mods removal.

It is very important that mods user follow the detailed instructions of the mods authors in regards of installation and deinstallation of mods to ensure compatibility and functionality of the game and mods. Should an issue occur follow their instructions and in doubt consult the mods authors for mods related issues.

You can only be certain that an issue is not mods related if you confirmed it yourself by removing your mods completely and thoroughly.

In doubt: have your friend share screenshots. For yourself:
Did you do the Game Update Routine when updating the game?

(update)(Solution):
1- Delete the profile folder completely
2- Verify the file via Steam.
3- Delete the 'public' folder in 'Baldurgate3/data' where you installed the game.
4- Your friend with whom you will enter the game must do the same.

Neither myself nor the person I play with have ever loaded mods and we just received this Gustav Dev error and cannot now play. Same versions, etc.

Sadly didn't work for me and my friend.
Now I tried to delete the 4 files "Gustav" in the game folder and redownload them (about 13GB of files)

UPDATE: ok I tested with another friend and it's working. IDK if I was already ok and the first friend wasn't or if redownloading the "Gustav" files fixed it.
Now I'll try and I'll update this post.
