can't romance with shadowheart? (fixed)

I was playing a save where I'm half way through act 3 but in this save, I didn't kiss nor give shadowheart a night orchid but I did save nightsong and I haven't got any romance scene in act 3. Then I reloaded my save to act 2 and I did everything again the same but this time, I kissed her in act 2 and early in act 3, I haven't gotten any romance scene.

But, the main question is, in my first save, in the middle of act 3 (spared nightsong) without kissing her in act 2 can I still get a romance scene? I've saved her parents but still nothing.

update: I started a new playthrough the other day and I gave shadowheart one last try and apparently I think you have to ask her in act 1 about what other things she likes beside shar and she'll tell you that she can't swim and she likes night orchid (which you have to give her in act 2 by finding this flower then talking to her) then just to make sure everything was set up correctly, I saved nightsong then killed kethric then waited in act 2 by long resting until her hair turns white then went on to act 3 where I finally got the romance scene for shadowheart

The romantic line wih Shadowheart start in the Act 1 (just like with all others). If you have enough approval from her, it should trigger the scene near the waterfall in the initial camp. The first kiss with her is available there and then. Otherwise, she'll consider you as a friend. Very, very close friend, but no more.

Sorry, I can't really help you either (as I intentionally avoided any kind of romance in my own playthrough). But did you really reload a save from dozens of hours earlier, only to romance a character? That's devoted.

BTW, there's two ways to check a romance status in this game. The "meta" way via script extender. (Which can also turn it on or off, but in any case lets you check) but that requires modding. Here's the other ...

If you can discuss the relationship with SH and ask for a kiss (which now appears to include more varieties in patch 6), the romance is still on. If she talks about you being an ex-lover or mentions breaking up, it's off.

I tested this a long time ago and she said she only wanted to be with me for the first time but nothing's changed. How do I do it with mods?

Well, Script Extender ... which, lucky for you, appears to be working again, can both tell you a romance status, or even activate a dormant (or never started) romance, all from the console ....

It's no myth. But it's also quite tame. She skinny dips with you, but of course only her head is above water. Then things move to the shore, but before you can see much, ... fade to black.

Far tamer than Karlach or Minthara's.
