Best items to give Gale?

I was starting to like Gale but now he is becoming very annoying. I don't understand why he needs all the magic for himself. Why can't he just find and consume magic on his own instead of being a burden for the whole party?

Are there magic items that are less valuable and more common? He is making the game stressful

The first time I played, it really did cause angst. :) Later on I found out it stops at three. :))

It is three items, btw. Which is why the Gale boots mod has three boots. :)

It freaked me out the first time I played too. Now I give him items that aren't useful to my party; mostly thing that give abilities I already have through class features or that are totally useless. This time it was

- Some pendant that gives guidance because Shadowheart can do that.
- The Watchers Spear, which gives true strike after a miss, completely useless.
- Ring of colorspray, stops being helpful after about L3 since enemies all have too many HP to be affected.

The game is full of crappy magic items. Just feed him three of whatever you're not going to use.
