My understanding is that the instrument ability is not lost when changing the class out of Bard, but I never tried that. One could think of it as Withers teaching the player an instrument. LOL
Question: Can a {CHA} Performance check with a 20 without instrument proficiency still work in BG3? (It probably wouldn't in tabletop 5e RaW. It'll probably work in 5e 2024 RaW, though.)
(Looks like WotC is going to start adding years to new editions instead of 5.5 or 6 or whatever. You have the 5e PHB (2024) and 5e DMG (2024) this year and MM (2025) next year.)
