Script Extender not updating, unavailable....

I have everything set to auto-update, from game to mods in my manager. Game is still playable, but without the mod that depend on the script extender, it's far less enjoyable. Anyone else having the 'script extender failed to update' problem? It just started today for me, so I suspect it has to do with the latest "hot fix."

Yeah I'm having the same issue, everything was fine yesterday but the new patch installed and now my game won't work ;/ May just have to wait for the script extender to update again

Entering Script Extender would have told you that the recent hotfix broke it. Also would have told it that the author of Script Extender says at least two days till he gets enough time to update it.

If you go up one level to the General discussion area, you can see the Events and Announcements discussion which actually will show you all hotfixes and patches released.

I had a few crashes after six, but all the mods worked. Wasn't worth complaining about for me. The price of buying an unfinished game, I guess.

You have 2 options:
1. Wait that Norbyte updates BG3SE (btw. NativeMod also broke)
2. Use this workaround to revert to patch6 and continue being able to play until this get updated (backup the files that will be replaced!. 10 files will be replaced)

A WORKING SOLUTION FOR STEAM PLAYERS
Download previous bin files using steam console:
Open a command window "Run" by pressing «Win + R» and then enter the command: steam://open/console, and then press Enter.
Type command:
download_depot 1086940 1419652 8231067205656009020 [<delta manifestid>] [<depot flags filter>] : download a single depot
It will download previous unbroken exe files. Just copy and paste them into BG3 bin folder, and everything will work.
