Any portrait mod?
Hi, is there any mod that would allow to add to every character image as a portrait? Like in older DnD games? (Neverwinter nights, Baldur or Icewind)
As for source, any site would be nice. I just have sentiment for choosing a portrait of rpg characters in DnD (both for sessions and for pc games)

How the hell would that that work when you have extensive character creator and cinematic motion capture interactions. What you create is what you see.

Quite simple. replace the portraits with static ones.

I have not seen any mods on nexus that does that.

I feel like it's not exactly a highly demanded feature since more people prefer that the portraits closely match how their character actually looks ingame, especially with BG3's focus on close-up dialogues and cinematics.

It does not need to affect cinematics, and games like Neverwinter Nights also had 3D models. Just portraits on the left/at the top in the fight queue , maybe portrait instead of model in equipment menu.

https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/7194?tab=images

lets you zoom out on your portrait (in game / left side, doesn't replace the inventory model view) to see more of your gear instead of a cropped face.

Thanks, but it is not what I am looking for :) I wanted to put images instead of models, so looking on models from different distance is not for me, as for now.
With my luck, if that kind of mod exist it is probably somewhere on russian site (and I dont know russian language xD) they always had some mods not available anywhere else.

NWN 1 was the last game I can remember going that route. Now that the 3d models are decent, demand for a portrait that doesn't match the in-game character is nearly non-existent.

Yeah, bringing up NWN1 is really weird because the player character models in that game basically didn't have any real facial features to speak of and eyes were flat, painted on textures.

By the time NWN1 was out, Final Fantasy X was out and completely blew NWN1's presentation out of the water.

Good or bad I dont care about 3d models, just had a hope for a nice feature. There are already more useless things in the game already, so it wasnt that weird to ask about ;p
