How important is the Iron Throne?
I visited once and left but forgot to go back after heading into the Steel Foundry now it's destroyed. Is it a big deal?

Seems to be pretty important since the Lannisters, Baratheons, Targaryens and many more fought for it

The Baldur's Gate Iron Throne only provides an other possible ally ability in the final fight depending on the resolution of another quest that must be completed after (but can be started before heading down there).

I already sacrificed the Duke for Wyll's contract I guess it's not a big deal then.

Without considering the duke, you can rescue Omeluum and get some minor items later at the house of brilliance as a reward later...so not a big deal at all. There are some gnomes to free and one of them is of note to Toobin, but doesn't have much bearing on the story as there is a lot missing from ACT 3.

I tried cheesing it one time when I doomed the duke by dimension dooring the duke away with Omeluum after freeing him and Mizora conjured a bunch of spiders that just teleported with him and killed the duke on the sub anyways.

You lose half the Gondians as allies in the final fight. Which, tbh, I just finished the game in tactician mode and I only called on The Harpers and the remaining Iron Gnomes (who fought / died well).

I find this one of, if not THE funnest quest in the game. You can Save the Duke, rescue omellum and the Gondonians

It does not mean much in the grand scale of things. My advice is to move on.
