I think i skipped it once though im not sure. We came across a dead boar by the wol bear cave and i passed a perception check and saw "bite marks". Astarion copped to it and that he was a vamp
Nothing happens in that scene. I dont want to drop spoilers on you but its honestly no biggie..meaning you can refuse
It's up to you what to do ( you can also refuse to let Astarion bite you IIRC ).
On our first run a friend killed him right away after he noticed he was a vampire trying to bite ( imagine a dwarf warrior that happens to wake up with a half elf vampire we just recruited trying to kill them ).
A stake in the chest and gg.
Still not as satisfying as sawing off Gales hand and carrying it around for the whole campaign. My Durge stuck a stick on the end and now it's a fine back scratcher, those fingers really do work magic!
I'm going to do that with my Wyll play-through, he is a monster hunter, of sorts, after all
It's also A Durge run for me too, I have Gales hand and Karlachs head in my bag, along with Shovels' friendly skull, pet rock and poo knife. I'm looking forward to any other weird and wonderful things I can stuff in my backpack.
That's how you play a Durge.
Not like all those fake Durges aiming for good runs.
All missing that scene seems to do is cut him off has a romance till the party
