Astarion bite scene
I've made camp for the night in the Underdark. I was doing the rounds talking to everyone and Astarion decided to tell me about his little condition, but now when I try to long rest it plays the scene where he sneaks up on you for a quick bite and it plays out like he hadn't just told me about what he is. Is there some way to avoid this bite scene now as it doesn't make any sense?

why not just play it out?

I think i skipped it once though im not sure. We came across a dead boar by the wol bear cave and i passed a perception check and saw "bite marks". Astarion copped to it and that he was a vamp

Nothing happens in that scene. I dont want to drop spoilers on you but its honestly no biggie..meaning you can refuse

It's up to you what to do ( you can also refuse to let Astarion bite you IIRC ).

On our first run a friend killed him right away after he noticed he was a vampire trying to bite ( imagine a dwarf warrior that happens to wake up with a half elf vampire we just recruited trying to kill them ).

A stake in the chest and gg.

Still not as satisfying as sawing off Gales hand and carrying it around for the whole campaign. My Durge stuck a stick on the end and now it's a fine back scratcher, those fingers really do work magic!

spoilers are fine, it just seems strange that i get him telling me then the bite scene and it is like he didn't just tell me

I'm going to do that with my Wyll play-through, he is a monster hunter, of sorts, after all

It's also A Durge run for me too, I have Gales hand and Karlachs head in my bag, along with Shovels' friendly skull, pet rock and poo knife. I'm looking forward to any other weird and wonderful things I can stuff in my backpack.

That's how you play a Durge.
Not like all those fake Durges aiming for good runs.

yep, I'm not going to kill everyone my urges tell me too, she has enough sense to know that killing certain people will be a really bad idea for her, but she will murder a lot of people and enjoy it. I do plan on rejecting father in the end, but only because she doesn't want to be his slave or puppet, she kills for herself, her own enjoyment and pleasure

I decided to let him bite me, unfortunately I'm playing on single file mode from the custom options and saved during the conversation, otherwise I would have just avoided having him tell me first.
